I just heard that some environmentalists (mentalists) drove two and a half hours to protest the building of windmills (turbines for wind power) in an area of Oregon that has 20% unemployment (because of them against tree cutting), because power lines (to where they live) will have to cross a wildlife preserve, and the propellers "might" be a danger to avian life. I don't get it. What do they want, egg in their beer?

According to the available data, France currently generates 70% + of its electricity using nuclear power. Yet here in the United States we haven't broken ground for a new nuclear generating station in decades. We're still using coal, oil and natural gas to generate electricity
