I hope I'm not being too cynical, but didn't Obama promise that "the earth will begin to cool, and electric cars and wind power will prevail" during the campaign? Last time I checked, the unemployment rate is still ticking upwards, every car on the road runs on gasoline, there's been no progress on global warming nor immigration reform, he's done nothing for the gay-rights community nor for women's reproductive rights, and I don't see any "post-partisan era". Is there ANY way there can be a different Democratic candidate in 2012

I'm making a wind powered generator for a physics project at school - the magnets are going to be rotated near magnet wires,so that they induce a current and generate electricity :D So,I'm wondering, is there a sort of magnet strength I should use at minimum? I'm looking at 6lbs/3000g of pull force to about 9lbs/3000 g (these aren't the exact numbers, but I'm looking at a range of magnets here) I'd be happy with a voltage of 1 to 4 V,and at least some amount of current (amp)
